Nokia to announce up to five new Android smartphones in 2017

2017 will be marked by Nokia's grand return to the smartphone market.

Nokia's return to the smartphone market has been heavily anticipated by the entire industry as well as mobile phone users around the world.

The 5.0-inch Nokia D1C is said to feature full HD (1920x1080p) display, Android Nougat OS, Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core (Cortex-A53 x 8) CPU with Adreno 505 graphics engine, 2GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt storage, 13MP primary camera on the back and an 8MP snapper on the front. For many years, the brand was the world's best-selling mobile phone producer, with such legendary models as the 3310, and the 8110, until it was overtaken by the wave of smartphones introduced by Apple and Samsung. A new design team is at work and introduction of the Android operating system will surely strike a chord among mobile phone lovers. Recently leaked live images and a few concept diagrams suggest that Nokia is working on at least two such smartphones. Leaks have revealed a midrange and a flagship model. These smartphones will be in addition to the Nokia Pixel, Nokia D1C, and Nokia Z2 Plus devices which have been previously spotted online.

Well, it appears that one of these devices has just appeared at 3C (China Compulsory Certification), the regulatory commission that certifies new products so that they can be released in China. More and more leaks are surfacing on the Internet though it is hard to know how much of it is true.

One of the biggest news relating to Nokia this year was the company's comeback announcement. The company has already tipped about showcasing two phones at MWC 2017.
